The Peace of Sin, Part 1

It’s beautiful,

Living in the peace of sin,

Where to go,

Where to begin.

We are who we want,

We play as we please,

Infected and spreading,

Self-righteous disease.

  1. How tragic is your mortal plight-
True peace is lost without the light-
Your lies have left you truly void-
    Of truth, of love-
    To soul, to self-

    Stop deception, there’s still time-
    Before the stars will realign-
And turn your prey back on to you-
Forgiveness? not from those you slew-

    You once were blessed-
    How far you’ve strayed-
    In too many stranger’s bed’s you’ve laid-

How tragic is your mortal plight-
To be ravaged by self-loathing blight-
Too weak for strength, too weak for love-
Too weak to find your path above-

    Embrace the truth-
    Embrace the light-
You’ll find no cure without a fight.

    • The Peace of Sin, Part 2

      No brick is laid,
      Without the light.
      No path is made,
      Without a fight.
      No truth is found,
      Without a test,
      Yet;
      We persevere,
      With loud unrest.
      Our bodies yes,
      Are sacrificed,
      But;
      In that end,
      We kill our vice.
      To be one at peace,
      And still human,
      We must prove strength,
      Above all sin.
